Shir Ami School

Our multi-age school program provides a fun environment where our children learn about Jewish practices, culture, and holidays and experience the joy of living Jewishly. We encourage parent participation in our school and family members often join us for holiday celebrations.  Some of the school fun includes arts and crafts, performing a holiday play for the congregation, and cooking Jewish foods together. When students are ready, they begin Hebrew classes, and we prepare them to become a B-Mitzvah. Many of our children continue on beyond B-Mitzvah through confirmation and become paid teaching assistants and teachers in our school.

The education of our children is central to our mission as a community and is supported by all of our members.  Families pay only a modest supply fee per child after the introductory membership period.

Keeping Our Students Safe

We work hard to create a safe environment for all our congregation, but especially our students:

  • The front door is locked throughout school, and a fenced back area is available for outdoor learning and play
  • Masking during indoors activities is strongly recommended
  • All surfaces are thoroughly cleaned
  • Sanitizer is available
