Yom Chamishi, 29 Iyyar 5777

Congregation Shir Ami members get involved in a wide range of tikkun olam initiatives. We work at the Alameda County food bank, are active participants in the work of South Hayward Parish, organize community workshops, and always have a contingent at local events in support of communities seeking social and economic justice, such as the annual MLK day observance in Hayward and Castro Valley Pride day in July.  Our Social Action committee coordinates our participation in these events and provides a steady stream of information regarding campaigns being undertaken by leading Jewish action organizations like the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism. Join us in taking action, while at the same time building tigher bonds among members of the Shir Ami community.
